Pierre Vigniaux Toulouse

Watchmaker Pierre Vigniaux lived and worked at Rue des Filatiers in Toulouse, France. Widely renowned for his exquisite craft, he wrote monumental books, such as "Practical Watchmaking" in 1788 and "Traite elementaire de l'horlogerie" in 1800.

This wonderful watch, made by the legendary Pierre Vigniaux, dates back to approximately 1785 and has been recently restored by a master watchmaker. The case of the watch is multi-colour gilded (a type of gold plating).
