A stunning heavy 14k solid gold historical pocket watch. The watch has a personalized dial with the name "E.G. Bollinger Forbes". E.G. Bollinger lived in Forbes after he emigrated in 1865 from Swiss to Australia. His son A.G.F. Bollinger later completing his apprenticeship as a watchmaker in Sydney, and set up his own jewelry company in Parkes around 1892.
A.G.F. Bollinger had possibly ordered this movement with case and personalized dial in Swiss for his father E.G. Bollinger who unfortunately died in 1897.
The high grade mint English lever movement is signed by Thomas Stevens of Liverpool, fully jeweled with crystal jewels in gold settings, the balance cock has a diamond end stone and a gold balance wheel, running very accurately.
Overall this watch is in an amazing great condition, the heavy solid 14k gold Swiss watch case is like new, no dings or dents or scratches, clearly Swiss hallmarks, weights without the movement and glass more than 50 grams, the totally weight of the watch is 122 grams.
